I think I've been hoodwinked

I had to wake up the kids this morning to go to school, and Eliza groaned about how tired she was. Then she said her tummy was aching. She said the same thing on Saturday night and threw up, so I didn't want to risk an explosion at school.

She is now downstairs happily watching T.V. with a smile on her face. She just requested an apple. I asked her if she needed a barf bucket and she said no. I don't think she's really sick. . . . . .

Julia's school called me around 10:30 today because her absence hadn't been excused. That's because I thought she didn't have to go till tomorrow!! So I took her for the 2nd half of the day. I even checked the calendar and misunderstood. I don't know what's wrong with me!

Well...you could make yourself feel better by saying better safe than sorry. It's never fun to get a call from the school saying that your child puked everywhere, right? There have been a couple times where Brandon has sworn that he was sick and ended up not so much. In his defense, he really did think he was sick when he woke up. Probably just tired and hungry.
