In a rut

Yeah, I know I just had a baby 3 months ago. But today I'm feeling a bit down about my stupid stomach that isn't going away. . . . .just had to vent. I know I need to get back into exercise, but I'm having a hard time getting going. Bleh. There is something really disheartening about all of your pants being tight.

I love you Camilla! I'm sorry you're feeling like you're in a rut! I would love to go on a walk with you if you have time!

Camilla, I just ran a marathon and I still haven't gotten rid of my stomach. I think that it's just Mother Nature's way of reminding us that we are awesome and gave life to four little people.

(That didn't help, though, did i?)

Don't be ashamed to buy a bigger pair of pants. Keep all the others on your shelf like a trophy to work toward. And you already know this, but God cares way more about that sweet baby than your waist circumference.

So, I've kept all my pre-baby pants as motivation for 7 months now and I just get frustrated and depressed that the only thing I can fit into is dumpy and I feel ugly. I think it's time to accept things and go shopping. If I feel better about myself, I might actually also feel like improving my health and then - I'll get into the old clothes. If that works, it'll be worth buying the fat clothes. And if it doesn't, at least I now don't have to cry every morning when I have to take off outfit after outfit before work.

Tight pants, huh? How about me, 10 months postpartum, still trying to button my shirts over my buxom self? Gggrrr.

I think in heaven, we'll all be svelte babes. Don't you?
